Maui

We had an amazing stay in Maui. We hiked up this canyon and saw how the ancient Hawaiians lived. What beauty!

We found that is was super windy in the north shore of Maui. We did venture out despite the wind and ended up finding the most beautiful beach of all the entire cruise (I felt). It was this secluded little bay protected by a break water. You can see how clear and perfect the water was. I want to live right here!

Here we are enjoying our own bay. Luke is a lurker (inside joke!)

Jacob was able to try his hand at surfing and did an amazing job! If I would have waited a second later you'd see him standing up by himself. We borrowed the board from this super friendly lady that lived at this beach. Story to this picture. We met this lady that lived in a single wide trailer 30 feet from the water's edge. She and her husband parked it there 13 years ago. This is a state park so the authorities asked them to move it but they just didn't get around to it and the authorities didn't come back so they stayed there. So after 7 years they received eminent domain. They now have ocean front property in Hawaii and can't be moved!!! I want to find a beach and do the same thing. I could live in a single wide trailer if it was on the beach in Hawaii!!!

Here are the kids with the lady's dog. They gave that dog a run for his money!!! He probably hasn't caught so many balls thrown into the ocean in a long time. What an amazing spot!
